You know you have a 'problem' when you anxiously await for weekly blocks to be announced.  Still wasn't able to work on them though until the end of last week.  Things have been crazy with building the house, getting orders done and working on the kid's Halloween costumes.  But I got them finished, and am pretty happy about how they turned out for the most part.

As I was watching the Facebook group and all the lovely blocks appear, and then reading some of the issues people were having, I was getting really nervous about these blocks.  I know how to do paper piecing, but I wasn't really ready to do that with these blocks. The set from the first week, I followed all the rotary cutting directions, and it was wonderful.  This week, however, I tried the templates from the book since there was no rotary directions for these blocks.  I printed them here and pasted them to cereal box cardboard to make them a little sturdier as I cut around them.  They worked wonderfully!

Here are week 2's blocks! Block 4 : #14 Betty

This block is made from butterfly material I used to make sheets for my sister's baby, white dandelion fabric being used in my sister's wedding quilt and the yellow herringbone is from one of my latest projects, a firefighter turnout bag. (more on that coming soon in a different post)  I like this block, still unsure on my fabric choice.  But I do like it.

Block 5 : #20 Caroline

The fabrics used here are just random ones I had laying out from doing other small projects.  I really like how this combination came together.
